This is my first time-travel (with some alternative history elements worked in). Has anyone else ever written a time travel or even read lots of them. I think I've only read a couple and can't pull up any names to save my soul. I'm wondering if there are any rules I need to know about it? Or maybe it's good to not know the rules and just write away...

I haven't really read many time travels at all. But I did write one - FIRE WITHIN. Still, only the Prologue was set in the past and the Epilogue in the future. So I might not be the best person to answer this question.
I say just write the first draft and worry about everything else later. :)
That's pretty much what I'm doing...The story is comign together really well.
