New Year, New Novella

I spent yesterday plotting out my WICKED submission...

Then I opened a new word document and started writing and what came out is nothing like what I'd started with...I love it when that happens!

So, I'm going to type like mad for an hour and I'll be back to post my word count.



Bleh....not as many words as I would have liked. Maybe later today...

Necessary Evil

I think I'm the only one of the group here NOT writing. Grrrr....

Why? Well, I've been doing the necessary evil portion of an author's life...yep, PROMO. I've been out posting links to my free e-book on my website and announcing a wonderful Christmas contest I'm going to run in conjunction to my book's release on December 20th.

So, I've written lots of words...just not on my manuscript! Sigh...

Emma's Not Alone

The fires have sucked my writing mojo, too. Even though I'm home full-time and not working (because I have three cabin-fever crazy kids in the house all day and will until next week!), I'm not getting any writing done. Instead, I'm blog surfing and obsessively refreshing the fire maps.

Good news is that the ridge south of us that was on fire last night is now out. Bad news is that smoke is drifting in from the north. Does that mean the northern fire is coming around the backside? Don't know.

I really need to write, though. I'm starting to get depressed. So I have to find my muse. I hereby commit to writing at least 200 words today. Come hell, high water, or (more likely) fire.
