I'm hoping this book will be complete if I do another 10k. And since I have other project I have to work on I can't drag this out any longer and have to really kick some ass. So wish me luck.

Hey...what is 1000 or higher?

Ok I got my 11 pages in yesterday putting me at the 75 page mark. YEAH ME GO ME YEAH ME!! Oh and football is over. YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHH No fOOTBAlL

Ok so anyway today I'd like 10 more pages. I wrote yesterday until my fingers were literally tripping over themselves but I got some good stuff! Now if I can just remember to use the hero's pov. This writing in third person kinda sucks ya'll. hehehe

Okay can I say Okay anymore? LOL I have NO internet at home this weekend. I"m not on much in the evenings anyway but it'll be a bit easier to face the laptop knowing there's no temptation because my soon-to-be-ex cable company sucks my ass (buh-bye Roadrunner!). I have no new cable until November 4 and I really need to wrap up the first draft of this novella by Sunday because I have two more to write. I can easily see this one hitting over 100 pages though so we'll see.

It's also the boys birthday celebration weekend--someone save my ass from ice cream. If I forget to check in at the end of the day, Y'all have a good one!

Yay. Got through it just before it was time to step out into the thunderstorm. :/

No writing for me over the weekend, but I'll be thinking about it.

Pages update

Okay, as of this morning's session, I have done 75/152 pages on the revision.

It's not so bad, but I was hoping to hit 100 pages. My daughter woke up a little too early, though. :/

Here's hoping I can get through the whole thing by this afternoon. *fingers crossed*

Bad Me!

Not bad me for writing (oh, no I've been kicking major ass in that dept this week) but bad me for not posting here! I've been trucking along compared to last week which was basically a complete wash.

So far this week I've written a total of almost 6500 words (6496 to be exact). Woot! I'd like to write another 3k today. Wish me luck.

No more threat from the fires, although there is some possibility of homicidal mania erupting if we don't get out and do something today. I have an outing planned that should eat up the most boring chunk of the day.

Today's goal: finish the scene I started yesterday (yay!) and start the next. No word count goal, as I have no idea how many words I'll need to accomplish the task. I'm almost to the "good stuff" now, and I think you all know what that means, nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more.

A better day

I could not, COULD NOT go to sleep until I wrote something. So that explains why I'm posting this at 4:26 in the AM.

I did so much better than I had since my last entry on the 23rd. I didn't report in on the 24th but I'm reporting in today with 2151! WOOT! WOOT!

So that brings me to...

No new words for a while...

It's Yolanda here, and I'm checking in for the first time.

Okay, this month hasn't been a good one for new words. I've written only one new story, and that was below 10k. Still, it's better than nothing.

I've been busy with revisions, edits and a bunch of other writing-related stuff. But it's ALL good.

Looks like I'll be doing some revision again today. I'm hoping to get it done by the weekend... it's about 32k. So, fingers crossed.

I want to get through as many of my unfinished stories as I can, before I get stuck into NaNo.

Emma's Not Alone

The fires have sucked my writing mojo, too. Even though I'm home full-time and not working (because I have three cabin-fever crazy kids in the house all day and will until next week!), I'm not getting any writing done. Instead, I'm blog surfing and obsessively refreshing the fire maps.

Good news is that the ridge south of us that was on fire last night is now out. Bad news is that smoke is drifting in from the north. Does that mean the northern fire is coming around the backside? Don't know.

I really need to write, though. I'm starting to get depressed. So I have to find my muse. I hereby commit to writing at least 200 words today. Come hell, high water, or (more likely) fire.

Today is a Wash

Today is a total wash! I'm chatting at Joyfully Reviewed this morning, I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon (and the more specialized they are the longer the fuckers take so that's 2 hours of my life *poof* gone right off the top!), then I have to cook dinner (I'll just get home in time), then it's my son's last football game so I HAVE to go.

I love him but I hate football.

By the time I get us home and fed it's about 7 PM. No writing...that's the way the words fall.

Le sigh...

So I'm at 10464, a big whopping 154 words since I checked in last. Le sigh. That's all I can say. I need a change of scenery but since California is burning to the ground and I'm asthmatic going outside is not the best of ideas. I'll check in either tonight or tomrrow morning and hopefully my news will be better. :( Yes. I know I suck and not in that magically delicious way.

Oct 22-Dec 31 Goals

Okay, time to finish up some of this stuff that I've started right? I may need a push from someone from time to time if I start slacking.

Every week to the end of the year my goal is to write 4 chapters in rewrites plus 10K of my new mss. If I stick to this, by Dec 31st I will have 2 entirely finished series and 3 manuscripts completed.

My designated writing days are Sat, Sun, and Wed.

So let's see if I can stick to this schedule for couple of months.

So far, I haven't achieved any of my word count goals. Today's goal is modest--start the next scene, which I haven't started because even though I know what has to happen, I don't have the "entry point" yet and I can never start a scene without an opening sentence.

I'd like to hit 15,000 words today, but it's hard to say for sure. Kids are home from school and trapped in the house all day because of this (about 5-8 miles from my house as the crow flies):


There's a possibility we might have to evacuate at some point, although we seem to be in a pocket right now (sky above our house is clear and blue).

Sucking Ass

This positive stuff is really hard. I got 2000 words for the weekend. That's 8 pages and sex scene number two (believe me it was badly needed). My goal is 100-125 pages for this novella but I feel like every scene is just taking SO LONG! So eventhough I've got 60 pages now, the story hasn't moved much. Maybe now that I'm past some of the sex, things can start trucking. Of course, then I have to figure out how to get more sex in--at least one.

I really need ten pages today.

I'll be back around 5 to check in!

Emma's trucking along...

Reign O' Pleasure (aka Reign of Pleasure) is now at 10,310 and counting. I've decided to record each day I write here no matter how many words I've written.

Sven started last Sunday and I didn't keep track the first 3 days of how much I wrote but from the 17th until yesterday I wrote a total of 3360 words which averages to about 915 per day, technically meeting my 750 a day word count.

But I'm still not satisfied. So today I'm turning off the instant messager (if you need me, call me) and writing whatever feels right. I'm almost 11k in and the hero and heroine still haven't got it on yet. Not that that's a bad thing, it's just that them getting it on is sorta crucial to the plot. Can't get knocked up without getting it on.
