Sometimes I wonder why I outline.
I've been working on the "snowflake" (see Randy Ingermanson if you want to know how to use his method to outline a book) for a time travel. It's set locally, although I've changed all the places and names to protect the guilty (and keep from getting sued).
So, after 6 days of tinkering with the outline and working out plot points in my head, I picked a title. Mojave Moon.
Then, I put my fingers on the keyboard and started to write. At the end of the heroine's first scene, I have a huge sonic boom and "flash" my heroine shoots 65 years into the past. Oh! Wait...the hero was supposed to come forward in time. So...I rewrote the scene...sonic boom, heroine shoots 65 years into the past. Shit.... Oh, well, wait...
Immediately the entire story line jumped into my head ~ there's still a few little gaps, minor details, and the clincher -- it's bloody backwards and now I have to do lots more research.
Le sigh.
So, word count is at 797 -- doesn't seem like much for all that work~

LOL Ericka you made me laugh but i totally understand your frustration!
And I love your title!
Like QB, I laughed. Because I know EXACTLY where you're coming from. But the story sounds great and the title is excellent.
So I say keep up the good work.
Ericka, LOL! :D
Those bloody characters always have to have their way. We writers should know that by now. Heeee. Heeeee.
I agree, btw, the title's very cool.
Happy writing!
Glad you all like the title...
I need to find out where you get your little progress bar. The site where I get mine has gone off line because of NanoWriMo to prevent it from crashing...grrr....
Ericka if you find out about the meter, let me know!
